In order to earn an Illinois High School Equivalency Certificate, you must take and pass the Constitution test as required by Illinois Compiled Statutes – School Code (105 ILCS 5/27-3) in addition to passing the four parts of the GED test.

There is no fee to take the Constitution Test and it can/should be scheduled in advance by calling 309-477-2290.  However, if a tester schedules the Constitution and is a subsequent no-show (does not call to cancel the scheduled test), the person will forfeit their ability to make another appointment to take the Constitution test at our office.  In those incidences, thereafter the tester would need to call the morning of the day they wanted to take the test-and we would let them know if we have any time available on that day.
